The influence of infrared carbon dioxide and ultraviolet laser marking machine on the laser marking performance of composite materials
Recently, the editor used infrared laser marking machines with a maximum power of 30W and ultraviolet laser marking machines with a rated power of 5W to conduct marking tests on talc modified flame-retardant polypropylene (PP) materials, flame-retardant polycarbonate (PC) materials, and glass fiber reinforced flame-retardant polyamide (PA) materials. The study investigated the effects and differences of different laser marking equipment and marking processes on the marking effect of materials. The results showed that the marking effect of the ultraviolet laser marking machine was generally better than that of the infrared laser marking machine, with a marking effect of PC>PP>PA. For commonly used PP and PC materials, using infrared laser marking equipment for marking is more cost-effective; For glass fiber reinforced flame-retardant PA materials with good heat resistance, it is more suitable to use a UV laser marking machine for marking.
